At Saltley Academy we believe working together encourages great things to happen; so much so that you'll find the Collaboration: Be A Team Outstanding Learner Quality practiced in classrooms throughout the school.
We have implemented this quality in Media Studies also, and here is some information about the team of people who made Saltley Stories possible:
The boss: miss h
Part-time teacher, part-time bossy boots. Miss Haseen is our Media Studies Teacher who ensures that class 9A-MS1 meet the deadlines set regarding news reports. We have learnt a lot about the Media world by attending Miss Haseen's lessons and we look forward to learning a whole load more!
deputy: ms deering
Ms Deering has also been teaching 9A-MS1 this academic year. Her lessons have allowed us to prepare material for Saltley Stories and we hope you enjoy what you read!
DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCER: Ms Taflinger
Working for the BBC Academy, Ms Taflinger's input has really allowed us to develop our Media knowledge and gain a real purpose to our work. Ms Taflinger has taught us that working in the Media Industry is within our grasp and that the more time and and effort we put into Media Studies; the better we will become.
ADEPT ARTICLE CREATOR: IQRA
Intelligent Iqra and her peers have been working hard this academic year to create appealing, attractive and alluring newspaper articles that you can really get your teeth into! Iqra has taken the lead to ensure that the articles uploaded onto the website are of the highest quality and has done this by proof-reading and editing work. Many thanks to Iqra for her contributions to the Reports page.
PERFECT PHOTOGRAPHER: T
Many of the images you see on the website are down to Tremendous T's keen eye for picturesque pictures. There isn't a shot he can't take and his photos really add another dimension to the reports generated. They say a single picture can tell a thousand words; so why don't you explore some of T's work available on the Reports page to discover how you would describe what you can see.
TALENTED TELEVISION PRODUCER: UMAYMAH
The originality of our television news reports is primarily down to Unique Umaymah's approach within this field of news. She has been working alongside members of 9A-MS1 to plan, prepare and publish engaging television news reports recordings for all of you to view. Check out the Reports page to see what Umaymah's been up to.
RADIO REPORTER: HENNA
Hands-on Henna has taken the lead in the Radio News Reports department. Her skillful coaching of voice-projection and appropriate tones has allowed members of 9A-MS1 to produce Radio Reports which are music to your ears! To hear some of the Saltley Stories please visit the Reports page.
